About Early Orthodontics:
Sometimes Orthodontics is necessary at an early age. This happens when there is a constricted palate or not enough room for permanent teeth to erupt.
Periodic evaluation is necessary to gauge the development of your child’s teeth. Panoramic X-rays should be taken at age 6 to determine the development of permanent teeth underneath the primary teeth. This examination allows the Pediatric Specialist to determine whether the development is within ‘Normal Limits’.
Pediatric evaluation determines if interceptive orthodontics are needed.
