A sinus elevation is needed when there is not enough bone to support an implant. Dr. Hornsby uses a 3-D guided method to safely and predictably lift a sinus and place implants in sinus areas. This procedure takes about an hour and greatly improves the long-term prognosis of implants. Very little discomfort is experienced by patients when using a guided technique.
